Where would you like to hold your wedding?

The possibilities are endless, of course! There are so many beautiful places on PEI from beaches and lighthouses, to fields of lupins (in season) and Charlottetown highlights.

Another option is to hold the ceremony in Marlo’s gardens where the Ladies In The Garden (water tanks painted like ladies) keep a smiling vigil over your wedding ceremony.

Any time is fine with me, as long as I’m not already booked! Remember to keep August 8, 2008 in mind as it could be a popular date…

How much will it cost?

IN THE GARDEN – PLAIN & SIMPLE                   $235.00

IN THE GARDEN WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS   $350.00

• At least one planning/pre-ceremony session
• Witnesses
• Wedding Ceremony to suit your desires
• 1 Bottle Champagne with which to celebrate!
• Wedding Cake (small but adequate!)
• Hand delivered Registration of Marriage

AROUND THE ISLAND                                         $350.00

• Planning sessions as needed
• Rehearsal or pre-ceremony visit
• Travel
• Wedding Ceremony to suit your desires
• Hand delivered Registration of Marriage

What do you need for a civil wedding on Prince Edward Island?

A Marriage License!

Both parties must go to the Department of Vital Statistics in Montague to obtain the license.

• Cost is $100 for the license.
• Documentation
  • Residents of PEI:
    • Birth Certificate
    • Provincial Health Card
  • Residents of other provinces:
    • Birth Certificate
    • Social Insurance Number
  • Applicants from another country:
    • Birth Certificate or Valid Passport
• Divorced Canadian persons must provide original copy of their Certificate of Divorce.
• Widowed persons must provide a Certificate of Death.
• Persons must be 18 years to be married in PEI without parental consent.
• Witnesses have to be a minimum of 18 years.
• Two witnesses are required.

The Department of Vital Statistics recommends contacting them in advance to make an appointment and ensure there are no delays or disappointments for issuing a marriage license:
